Cats found a home
in the coolest bar of Budapest
Häntiä - Tails, the exhibition with a lot of cats, is now on display on the walls of bar Gòlya in Budapest. The exhibition features 125 pictures and practically covers the free walls that were available at the time of the set up.
Budapestflow.com describes Gólya this way: "Gólya is a curious hub, it’s based in an old house that lies between concrete highrises and an empty plot of land ripe for development. It’s an alternative bar that is away from the touristy parts of the city, also tucked inside the VIII District. You’ll find events here like concertsfeaturing experimental music and quirky bike fixing workshops, among other events. Gólyacertain captures that countercultural vibe that the other ruin bars once embodied."
The exhibition in Golya was set up on a short notice. We found the place with the help of the rererred Budapestflow.com article on Thursday 11.10. The permission for setting up was given the next day and on Saturday 13.10. the whole thing was complete.
The cat pictures will be on the walls probably for a while. Nothing was agreed except for the set up because the personnel was occupied with a fully crowded house.

Our first exhibition outside Finland
was set up in a noble castle in Hungary
Iätön - Timeless exhibition was opened in Körmend, Hungary on Tuesday October 9th. The venue is Batthany Castle, a noble builing originally founded 1490.
The exhibition Timeless features 50 pictures, most of which by Mylène Meursault and some by Mikko Keinonen. Besides Timeless, the hall is also decorated by a Häntiä - Tails exhibition which means that six pilars of the hall are surrounded by altogether 240 cat pictures. One wall of the hall is occupied by textile art by Riitta Turunen and Aino Lampio.
The exhibition in Körmend will be open till October 29th, 2018.

Jälkiä - Traces came out
bigger than ever
Jälkiä - Traces exhibition will be on display in the cultural centre Poleeni in Pieksämäki for a month. This exhibition is our biggert set up by now. It features beside the video cube 57 pictures which are viewable around the building on two floors.
As a counterpart to the serious Traces one wall is dedicated to cats - to the Häntiä - Tails concept. This wall features a collage of 185 cat pictures.
The exhibition will be open till Nowember 4th.
